founder
AGS was founded by Tony Simpson.
Tony is a highly respected and industry leading insurance Professional. He is a director of The Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors, currently holding the position of Public Relations Officer and is a member of the IAEA London Region Committee which he has sat on for over twenty-five years.
Following his Indentured Apprenticeship as a crash repair technician and obtaining full City & Guilds, he went on to gain more specialist experience within a main agent crash repair centre. In May 1988 he joined Zurich Insurance as a Staff Motor Engineer responsible for the inspection of damaged vehicles, caravans, boats, plants and machinery.
Tony, who over the years has obtained an HNC in Motor Vehicle Management, IMI Certificate of Management, passing the Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessor written examinations, membership of The Federation of International Experts Automobiles, a qualified Chartered Insurance Institute member and achieving the Automotive Technician Accreditation of a Vehicle Damage Assessor. This was introduced as part of the PAS125 accreditation scheme for the Accident Repair Industry to set clear standards of competency with those engaged in the Industry.
Tony went on to a Motor Engineering Management role, engaging with commercial and corporate customers. He was able to provide the highest level of technical excellence to the business, customers, brokers and all stakeholders.
